ImageThe second one of the 3-year meetings under the title “Trilateral Strategy Group” with the cooperation of German Marshall Fund, TUSİAD (Turkish Association of Industrialists and Businessmen), Koc Holdings and Sweden Ministry of Foreign Affairs was held in Swedish capital Stockholm on 28-30 January, 2010 in order to discuss issues relevant to Europe, USA and Turkey.

AK Party Central Executive Committee Member, External Affairs Deputy Chairman and Cankiri MP Suat KINIKLIOGLU participated this second meeting under the title of “Regional Flashpoints and Trilateral Strategies” where high level politicians, bureaucrats and academicians from Turkey, Europe and USA attended.

ImageKINIKLIOGLU made a speech concerning the increasing role and significance of Turkey in the international arena and had explanations on various issues like the problems experienced in the Middle East and Caucasians, protocols signed between Armenia and Turkey, relations between Israel and Turkey and crisis between Iran and USA.

KINIKLIOGLU added that it was not possible for Turkey to look at only one side due to the region it belonged and one side would be missing if Turkey only headed for East or vice versa. KINIKLIOGLU said that discussions like shift of axis were actually openings that support the national interests of Turkey.
