KINIKLIOGLU touched upon the repercussions of the Gaza War in the region and stressed the divisions in the Muslim world. “Unfortunately, the Muslim world is divided in their attitudes towards the Palestine-Israel conflict. The attitudes of countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt who feel uncomfortable by Iran’s influence in the region and do not want to see it as a rival perceive Hamas as an extension of Iran constitute.
KINIKLIOGLU noted that Hamas won the elections in Gaza but was never given a chance to administer Gaza properly. He added that Turkey felt that its efforts to mediate peace between Israel and Syria were disrupted in a disrespectful manner. |
