AK Party Central Executive Committee Member, Deputy Chairman of External Affairs and Cankiri MP Suat KINIKLIOGLU attended Center for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM)’s 6th round table meeting in Bodrum held on October 9-12, 2010 with the cooperation of Centre for European Reform (CER); a London-based think tank.

In the meeting where leading politicians, academicians and experts from Europe, USA, Turkey and Middle East participated, Turkey-USA relations, Turkey’s EU accession and European security issues were discussed.

KINIKLIOGLU stressed the significance of bilateral relations between Turkey and the U.S. based on close alliance and strategic cooperation and added “Both at regional and global level, Turkey has become an active and strong actor taking initiative in the crises around the country  bringing the parties together in order to find a solution. Therefore, USA needs Turkey in the solution of global problems. Turkish – American cooperation is meaningful at global and regional level. "
