Turkey – U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group Chairman Suat KINIKLIOGLU met with ATC Chairman Richard Armitage.

KINIKLIOGLU, pointed out that Turkish – American cooperation was not only important at bilateral level but also for attaining peace, stability and welfare at regional and global level. He added “We trust ATC’s support for better understanding of Turkish American relations and cooperation concerning the circles with negative discourses against Turkey.

About the Mavi Marmara attack, KINIKLIOGLU said “One should not expect Turkey to forget about the incident. Turkey’s asking for an apology and compensation should be viewed as the solution method of the problem. Turkey wants to solve the Mavi Marmara incident to remain on a legal plane and prevent the tension to further deteriorate.
